Terms of service

These terms apply when you use thefloatingvanity.com or buy from us. “We” and “us” mean Altic Business Services LLC, trading as The Floating Vanity.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. We accept your order when we confirm it by email. Occasionally we may be unable to accept — if an item turns out to be unavailable, if we have mispriced something, or if we cannot verify the order — and in that case we will not charge you, or we will refund you in full.
Products ship direct from the manufacturer to the address you give us. We ship to the contiguous United States as standard; Alaska and Hawaii are quoted individually and we do not ship internationally.
Pricing
Prices are in US dollars and include free curbside freight to the contiguous US. Threshold and white-glove delivery are optional paid upgrades. Sales tax is added where we are required to collect it.
We try hard to be accurate, but if a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you rather than honour the error.
Product information
We describe our products as accurately as we can, including what they are made of. Solid wood varies in grain and colour from piece to piece and changes over time — walnut in particular lightens with light exposure. That variation is a property of the material, not a defect.
Where product photography on this site is an illustration rather than a photograph, it is labelled as such.
Delivery
Delivery is by LTL freight. Transit estimates are estimates and not guarantees. Someone aged 18 or over must be present to receive and sign for delivery. Redelivery fees arising from a missed appointment are your responsibility.
You are responsible for inspecting the shipment and noting any damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Our shipping page explains how. Damage reported after an unqualified signature is significantly harder for us to recover, and we may be unable to.
Installation
Installation is not included in any price on this site. We recommend a licensed plumber or an experienced finish carpenter. Wall-mounted vanities must be anchored into structural framing or blocking.
We provide installation guidance as general information. We are not responsible for installation work, for damage or injury arising from improper installation, or for the condition of the wall a vanity is mounted to.
Returns and warranty

Limitation of liability
Except as stated in our warranty, and to the extent permitted by law, our products are provided without further warranties, express or implied. Our liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including installation costs, property damage arising from installation, or loss of use of a bathroom.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.
